Patient Information

  • Insurance and Payment

Our office is not in network with any insurance companies. This means that the patient is fully responsible for paying for their appointment at the time of their scheduled visit.

We can submit claims on behalf of the patient. This courtesy claim is to see if what was paid can be applied to the insurance deductible or if the patient can be reimbursed.

Courtesy claims can only be sent to the patient’s primary medical insurance.

If the patient would like to submit claims to Medicaid, Medicare or their supplements, or their dental insurance, a superbill can be provided.

Single case agreements will not be accepted.

Our office is a non-network provider with Tricare. Because Dr Robinson-Smith is the only board-certified Orofacial Pain Specialist in Colorado Springs, Tricare can refer patients to our office to receive a limited benefit.

Tricare must be the primary insurance. Tricare as a supplement cannot be accepted.

For Prime patients, there must be an active referral and authorization for their Primary Care Provider.

For Select patients, there must be an active authorization.

There may be co-pays and cost shares associated with this. Up to 25% of billed charges may be owed. Our office is required to collect all co-pays and cost shares.

  • Appointments

Please call our office to schedule an appointment. Appointments are required.

  • Treatment

Treatment time can vary widely.  In general, the treatment plan will be lengthier and more complicated if the symptoms are severe, or if the problem has existed for a long time.

We will make every effort to diagnose and treat any disorders with timely and cost-efficient methods.  The most proven, evidenced based and conservative techniques will be used.
