What Makes Our Care Different

Specialized care for conditions that require a deeper level of understanding—combining clinical expertise with an awareness of how systemic health influences symptoms, healing, and treatment response, all delivered with empathy, careful listening, and respect for each patient’s experience

Our Approach

Diagnosis First. Treatment Second.

We prioritize understanding why symptoms are occurring before recommending treatment.

Treatment Philosophy

We focus on conservative, evidence-based care

We do not provide surgical treatment and avoid irreversible procedures whenever possible.

Who We Typically See

Our patients often:

  • Have had symptoms for months or years
  • Have not found relief with standard dental or medical care
  • Are seeking a deeper evaluation and clear diagnosis

Complex Medical Considerations

Treating the Whole Patient, Not Just the Symptoms

Many orofacial pain conditions are influenced by underlying systemic and connective tissue disorders.

We have experience working with patients who have:

  • Hypermobility spectrum disorders and Ehlers-Danlos syndromes (EDS)
  • Mast cell activation syndrome (MCAS)
  • Autoimmune and inflammatory conditions

These conditions can significantly affect:

  • Pain perception and sensitivity
  • Joint stability (including the TMJ)
  • Healing and response to treatment
  • Medication tolerance

We take these factors into account when developing treatment plans, ensuring care is tailored, cautious, and appropriate for each patient’s overall health.

When needed, we collaborate with your broader medical team to support coordinated care.
