Dr. Julie Robinson-Smith joins Dr. Linda Bluestein in this episode of The Bendy Bodies podcast to discuss orofacial pain and hypermobility.
Julie, originally from northern California, completed a bachelor of science in mathematics with honors at the University of California at Davis and a DDS at the University of California at San Francisco. Following dental school, she served in the US Air Force for five years as a general dentist, during which time she met her husband, Elliot. Dr. Robinson-Smith followed her husband to LA Air Force base and completed a two-year residency in Orofacial Pain and Oral Medicine at the University of Southern California. She and her family moved to Colorado Springs in 2017. She is a diplomate of the American Board of Oral Medicine, a diplomate of the American Board of Orofacial Pain and an instructor of Orofacial Pain at the University of Colorado Anschutz School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Robinson-Smith is active in the American Academy of Orofacial Pain and the American Academy of Oral Medicine. She frequently lectures to local dentists and has established a small study group to discuss and learn about complex cases with specialists across the United States. She is passionate about accurate oral diagnosis and patient education in order to achieve the best possible outcome for her patients.
